What marketing workflows did you automate with Zapier?Īnd for a somewhat dated guide that shows some of the most creatives uses of Zapier I’ve seen, check this article on the Zapier blog about building a prototype with Zapier. Now, when you kick off a Zapier workflow by parsing an email via the built-in app, Email Parser by Zapier, all attachments are zipped together and sent along with the other data in your message. Whether it's files or photos, sometimes the most important details are attached to your email messages. What’s a Zapier feature you didn’t realize existed until way too late? New for Email Parser by Zapier: Include Attached Files with Parsed Emails. Then, here are some other detailed Capiche discussions about Zapier automations to explore: Little things like that don’t so much make impossible things possible as much as they help remove tedium from your work and give you more time for other stuff, and that’s what I’ve found most helpful.

Also made one to send swag Coupon codes using Google Sheets-Had a list of coupons in Google Sheets that the Zap would check for, then send to someone in an email, then update the spreadsheet to mark that code as used. Had Zapier watch a Google Sheet for names (seems I’m using Sheets in most of my Zaps), then check for that company on Clearbit, and save their logo from Clearbit’s database to Google Drive. 1 was an old zap that was turned off but just recently got turned back on today and that one is not working. 2 of the zaps were created in the past 24 hours.

Made one somewhat recently to download company logos. So far it appear to be that the newer zaps are not working. This one watched an RSS feed and a Google Sheets spreadsheet for new entries, then added the link to Google Cloud Print to save it the article as a PDF, then had a few Formatter + Google Drive actions to move the file to the correct folder based on the original site and add a customized file name.

Simple, but super handy.Īnother fun one I had archive every article I had published, to keep my original content around for the record even if links break over time. As you add your new spreadsheet rows with the details for each person you’re emailing, Zapier will send the messages for you. Then add a Gmail step, and have Zapier make the personalized email. Have Zapier watch Google Sheets for a new row, and include the contact’s name, email, and the customized sentences you want in the email. Basically, if I need to email a handful of people about generally the same thing but want to personalize the email, I’ll use this Zap to make and send the emails (Typically I’ll use it after interviewing people for an article to thank them and let them know the article got published). One of my all-time most used Zaps is a Google Sheets + Gmail Zap to send personalized messages.

Basically when you’re copying and pasting stuff and feeling slightly frustrated by the waste of time, that’s the perfect time to make a Zap. I was on the Zapier marketing team previously, so that may influence my usage, but I still find Zapier most handy for doing things that feel like you wouldn’t want to do them manually.
